今回は「that識別表」で
（19)(20)(21)(22)このthat は関係副詞のthat。
になったケースを詳しく紹介します。
【関係副詞のthat】
レベル中。 高校で習うはず。だが出現頻度が低いので習わない人もいるかもしれない。
使用頻度はかなり低い。１％未満のはず。
基本例文
(19)Sunday is the day that I clean my room.（日曜日は私が部屋を片付ける日だ）
(20)This is the place that she saw a lion.（ここが彼女がライオンを見た場所だ）
(21)This is the reason that I love her.（これが私が彼女を好きな理由だ）
(22)This is the way that I learned it.（これが私がそれを学んだ方法だ）

where, when, why, how の説明部が【関係副詞】の説明になっています。
(19)は関係副詞 when の代用の that。関係副詞 when は that と交換できる。つまり
Sunday is the day when I clean my room.
＝Sunday is the day that I clean my room.
(20)は関係副詞 where の代用の that。関係副詞 where は「先行詞が place の場合のみ」that と交換できる。つまり
This is the place where she saw a lion.
＝This is the place that she saw a lion.
(21)は関係副詞 why の代用の that。関係副詞 why は that と交換できる。つまり
This is the reason why I love her.
＝This is the reason that I love her.
(21）は関係副詞 how の代用の that と言えばそうなのだが、上の３つとは事情が異なる。
上のように、[先行詞＋関係副詞]にして書いてみるが
↓
×This is the way how I learned it.
この英文は「大昔の英文」だったら正しいが、現在は「間違い」とされる。
the way か how のどちらか一方だけを使う。
つまり
×This is the way how I learned it.
○This is the way I learned it.
○This is how I learned it.
となる。
しかし、現在は誤用の
×This is the way how I learned it.
の how の代わりに that を使うことはできる。
つまり、
×This is the way how I learned it.
○This is the way that I learned it.
＝○This is the way I learned it.
＝○This is how I learned it.
となる。
